If you are trying to lock in for your studies, do not make the goal “study everything.” Pick one subject and one piece of work that fits the time you have.
Set up a study session.
- Choose one topic. Name the chapter, concept, problem set, or section you are working on.
- Make the goal visible. For example: “solve questions 1–5 and mark what I need to revisit.” A small, specific finish line is easier to return to than a vague promise to keep studying.
- Put the source in front of you. Open your textbook, class notes, NCERT page, or course material. Open a second tool only if it helps with this exact task.
- Choose a session length that suits today. Set a timer you can reasonably give the task, then plan a break. A timer is a boundary, not a score.
- Check what stayed with you. After a section, close or look away from the notes and write a few points you remember. Reopen the material to check what needs another pass.
- Keep a parking note. When another subject or notification pulls you away, write it down and return to the question you were on.
When the session keeps slipping.
Make the next task smaller before adding more pressure. Change “finish biology” to “read the first two pages and list three questions.” If you are tired or overwhelmed, a shorter session or a real break may be a better next move than forcing a long one.
Sleep also matters for learning: the CDC says enough sleep helps students stay focused, concentrate, and perform academically. If concentration problems keep disrupting daily life, ask a qualified health professional for advice rather than trying to diagnose yourself from search results.

A quieter study setup.
LOCK IN is a Windows focus app. Choose the work apps you need, set a timed focus session, and use the connected Chrome or Edge companion if you want website rules. The app minimises reviewed apps outside your selection when they come forward; it does not close every application or block your whole device.
The live website preset is only a preview. The installer is version 0.3.0-beta.1, with its included features described on the download section.
